Summer Combine: Dade County Standouts

Dade County Standouts

Dade County was stop #2 of our Traveling Summer Combine Series, and I was impressed by what I saw out of the Wolverines. Here are the guys that looked the best on paper:

Carter Christiansen (‘25 DB)

The 6’0 165 SS had an outstanding day in the testing, taking 1st Place in all 3 events. He clocked a 4.59 on the laser 40, one of only 3 participants on the week to go below 4.6. Had an excellent 3-cone time of 4.5 and a broad jump of 9’4.

Christiansen led the Wolverines in tackles last season with 94 TT, with 74 of those being solo. He also added an INT and broke up a total of 19 passes last Fall.

Demetrius Walker (‘25 ATH)

The 5’10 150 ATH was 2nd on the team in the 40 yard dash. He ranked 7th in the 3-cone but if the grass had not been wet he would have challenged for the top spot, his feet kept slipping because he was turning so quick. He was right at the 9’0 mark on the Broad Jump placing him 3rd on the Wolverines.

Quick footed WR that can get vertical on you fast. He had 22 catches last season for a total of 307 yards and 5 TDs. Gave the fans in Trenton a taste of what is to come by scoring a long TD in the Spring game. Big Senior Season on tap.

Braydan Jones (‘25 WR)

The 6’2 WR is another athletic target downfield for the Wolverines. He tested out 3rd on the team in the 40 and was 2nd in the Broad Jump at 9’3.

Jones caught 14 passes for 175 yards and 2 TDs in 2023 with a game high 2 for 55 and a TD in a 55-13 win over North Sand Mountain. Jones figures to be a big part of the Dade Co offense in ‘24.

Bryson Shrader (‘25 QB)

The 6’1 rising Senior QB has a good day in the metrics placing 4th on the team in all 3 events.

Shrader had a productive season last year on the field passing for over 1300 yards with 15 TDs.

Other Notables:

H Garmany (‘26 QB/DB)

Showed good agility in the 3-cone and had an 8’9 Broad jump that put him in 5th for the team.

Evan Avans (‘26 ATH)

Solid built kid that is a competitor. Showed some quickness and was one of only a handful of guys to crack the 5.0 mark on the laser.

Nick Hurst (‘26 WR/FS)

Placed 3rd on the team in the 3-cone.
